Congratulations to Year 11 student, Maddie Judd who was recognised for her outstanding academic efforts, as part of the 2023 Maths Science Awards held recently.

Hosted by the Infrastructure Network – Goulburn Valley, Maddie was awarded the Hannam Encouragement Award for the Best Female student. The IN-GV Maths Science Awards saw five Year 11 students across the region awarded for their excellence in these learning areas.

Maddie attended the event with family and Greater Shepparton Secondary College Science Learning Area Leader, Sarah Beattie.

Ms Beattie said Maddie was a most deserving award recipient, as she is not only a high achieving and dedicated mathematics and science student but is excelling in all studies and making the most of the opportunities afforded to her.

“Maddie is a Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholar, she is involved with the Melbourne University mentoring program and is also participating in the Strengthening Engagement and Achievement in Mathematics and Science (SEAMS) program offered by the Monash University and University of Melbourne,” she said.

“To further emphasise Maddie’s enthusiasm and passion for science, she has been selected to attend the National Youth Science Forum in 2024.”

Congratulations to Maddie and thank you to Infrastructure Network Goulburn Valley for providing the opportunity for recognition of the achievements of our students.
