Year 7

The year 7 curriculum will have a dedicated focus on Literacy and Numeracy with additional sessions focused on English and Mathematics.

Students will also study Humanities, Science, Languages other than English (LOTE), Physical Education, Arts and Technology subjects.

Each semester, Greater Shepparton Secondary College Year 7 students will have a Quest in Humanities and Science. This allows students to investigate real-world applications of these subjects while applying literacy learning skills.

As part of the Learning Mentor program, students will be taught organisational and study skills to assist in their transition to Secondary School.

Year 7 Handbook

A Subject Information Booklet detailing all subjects our Year 7s will undertake at Greater Shepparton Secondary College from next year, has been distributed to our current Year 6 students.

Year 7's will start their 2020 year at McGuire Campus on Thursday, 30 January.


Year 8

For next year, the curriculum at the Mooroopna and McGuire campuses will remain the same for our Year 8 students. The curriculum at the Wanganui campus will be a combination of the curriculum currently offered at Wanganui and Shepparton High School.

A dedicated review of the Year 8 curriculum will take place in 2020.
