Year 7

The Year 7 curriculum has a dedicated focus on Literacy and Numeracy with additional sessions focused on English and Mathematics.

Students also study Humanities, Science, Languages other than English (LOTE), Physical Education, Arts and Technology subjects.

Each semester, Greater Shepparton Secondary College Year 7 students have a Quest in Humanities and Science. This allows students to investigate real-world applications of these subjects while applying literacy learning skills.

As part of the Learning Mentor program, students are taught organisational and study skills to assist in their transition to Secondary School.

Year 8

Curriculum at the Mooroopna and McGuire campuses remains the same for our Year 8 students in 2020. The curriculum at the Wanganui campus is a combination of the curriculum currently offered at Wanganui and Shepparton High School.

NOTE: The second semester  document GSSC Year 8 Electives Handbook (38 KB) for students attending the Wanganui Campus of Greater Shepparton College in 2020 is now available.

A dedicated review of the Year 8 curriculum will take place in 2020.
